Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), is a painless, non-invasive, non-drug & safest neuromodulation technique. Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) is FDA and CE approved treatment. It is used to treat mental health conditions. It is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It works by stimulating or inhibiting the neuronal activity in the brain.

What are the precautions of rTMS?

How does rTMS work?

MECHANISM OF rTMS

The magnetic pulses are changed rapidly to alter the activity of neurons within the brain, as a result of which the neurons change their firing pattern with respect to induced magnetic pulses. The magnetic pulses within the circuit of brain are responsible for changing the firing pattern that is causing any mental health disorder such as anxiety, depression and other neurological or psychiatric disorders. TREATMENT PROTOCOLS

  • The therapist informs the patient of the principles, procedures and possible responses to the diagnosis and treatment in order to eliminate the client’s stress.
  • The client removes the portable credit card, bank card, magnetic card key, disk, micro hard disk, mobile phone, belts, MP4, laptop and other metal objects to the outside of the treatment room to avoid magnetization.
  • Therapists and caregivers also need to remove metal glasses, watches, necklaces, earrings, and hearing aids device along with the client going through treatment.
  • Client wears a cap for positioning the stimulation site.
  • Client chooses a comfortable posture. He/she can either sit or lie down.

Yes, rTMS helps in treating pain.
